The Role Of The Shariah Board In The Islamic Banks’ Governance

Abstract

This paper aims to give an understanding of corporate governance in Islamic banking industry, outlines the responsibilities of the Shariah Board, and describes how they carry out their role to promote effective corporate governance in Islamic banks. A descriptive methodology was adopted based on literature review.
