Authors : Yaichi Mohammed .

Abstract

Propaganda can be defined as a systematic bias on the opinion to accept certain ideas or doctrines, mainly in the political or social field. It has some significant characteristics like the ideology, the means used, the events it uses, its real purpose and impact. This hamble work aims at answering the question: How did the superpowers, USA and USSR use propaganda to their advantage in their struggle for hegemony in the Cold War? The primary interest is in both models and ideologies they wanted to export. Then it tries to find out how they made propaganda a science, for the United States, or an art, to the USSR. Finally, it will focus on various forms of propaganda, their goals and their impacts.
