Fuzzy Goal Programming (FGP) has been widely applied in the design of quality control systems (QCS) within industrial firms. This study aims to present two alternative formulations for developing a QCS based on the FGP framework. The approach to fuzzy goal programming introduced by Hannan (1981) is employed to address the QCS problem. The proposed formulations are demonstrated through a case study in the paper industry, using the same example originally developed by Sengupta (1981).
