Transformations Of Urban Space In The Digital Age: Towards A Digital Urban Sociology

Abstract
Abstract: This article addresses the topic of transformations of urban space in the digital age: towards a digital urban sociology, through an analysis of the developments experienced by modern cities as a result of the significant and rapid transformations of digital technology. Thus, this article aims to understand how the urban inhabitant responds to these changes and their impact on reshaping the features of urban space as well as the social interactions within it. We have concluded that the current reality of cities and urban life calls for the development of urban sociological approaches to keep pace with the new data, relying on a hybrid approach that combines traditional and digital methodologies in order to understand the physical material reality along with the social reality in addition to digital changes. We also concluded that sociology must also keep pace with these changes by reconsidering classical concepts in accordance with the requirements of the digital transformation era, such as smart cities, digital urban services, digital citizenship, and the digital citizen. Furthermore, urban sociology has an important opportunity to exploit digital technology to develop advanced research tools for a deeper understanding of the relationship between the urban inhabitant and .urban space in the digital transformation era, especially with the development of artificial intelligence applications and tools ملخص العربية : يتناول هذا المقال موضوع تحولات الفضاء الحضري في العصر الرقمي : نحو سوسيولوجيا حضرية رقمية من خلال تحليل للتطورات التي تشهدها المدن الحديثة نتيجة للتحولات الكبيرة والمتسارعة للتكنولوجية الرقمية ،ومنه يهدف هذا المقال الى فهم كيفية استجابة الساكن الحضري لهذه التغيرات واثرها على اعادة تشكيل معالم الفضاء الحضري وكذا التفاعلات الاجتماعية فيه .توصلنا في النهاية الى ان الواقع الحالي للمدن والحياة الحضرية تستدعي تطوير مناهج السوسيولوجية الحضرية لتواكب المعطيات الجديدة ، تعتمد على منهج هجين يجمع بين المناهج التقليدية والمناهج الرقمية قصد فهم الواقع الفزيقي المادي مع الواقع الاجتماعي اضافة الى التغيرات الرقمية . هذا وقد توصلنا الى ان السوسيولوجية لابد ايضا ان تساير التغيرات من خلال اعادة النظر في المفاهيم الكلاسيكية وفق ما يتطلبه عصر التحول الرقمي . كالمدن الذكية ،الخدمات الحضرية الرقمية ، المواطنة الرقمية ، المواطن الرقمي ....هذا وامام السوسيولوجية الحضرية فرصة مهمة لاستغلال التكنولوجية الرقمية لتطوير ادوات بحثية متطورة من اجل فهم عميق لعلاقة الساكن الحضري بالفضاء الحضري في عصر التحول الرقمي خاصة مع تطور تطبيقات وادوات الذكاء الاصطناعي
