Authors : Rahim Amar .

Abstract

Thought this article, we seek to highlight the value of Land according to the American philosopher “Aldo Leopold”. The word "Land" embodies the meaning of life. due to the diversity of environmental elements including soil, plants, water, and animals, an ecological community is formed that is fundamentally no different from human society; Therefore, it requires a system to govern and runs it, "The natural life of the Earth’s various elements requires them to be in a state of total health, whereby they experience stability and integration within their ecosystem.". Leopold adopts this ethical foundation primarily to articulate the distress of the environment stemming from humans, who are the actual exploiters of the Land in ways that exclusively serve their private interests. The ethics of the Land Community is thus an appeal to establish a responsible relationship that regulate the human-Land connection, instilling an ecological conscience within individuals. This is essential because such a conscience arises from the appreciation and respect for the Land's paramount importance, ensuring its safety and its ability to self-renew, This means that the land enjoys its health and its enduring capacity for continuity.
