This study aims to highlight the impact of global fuel price volatility on the structure of China’s foreign trade, Given that the Chinese economy contributes more than 30% to global economic growth, any slowdown in China’s economic growth directly and negatively affects the performance of the global economy, The size of China’s economy and its energy-intensive industrial model have contributed to high fuel demand, making China the world’s largest energy consumer and a major driver of global energy demand, This study uses standard time-series analysis to examine the impact of fuel price volatility on the Chinese economy, including stationarity tests, the Johansen cointegration method, and the Granger causality test, The results indicate a cointegration relationship among the variables, and the Granger causality test reveals a unidirectional causal relationship running from global fuel price volatility to fluctuations in China’s trade balance.
