Abstract: The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in the domain of webtoons has significantly transformed the processes of creation, distribution, and consumption of these works. This article investigates how AI technologies influence the narrative and visual production of webtoons, emphasizing automated content generation, story personalization, and the enhancement of interactions between readers and creators. Additionally, it inspects ethical implications—particularly concerning intellectual property and representation—together with the technical challenges presented by these advancements. Through concrete examples and case studies, we illuminate how AI is redefining the boundaries of human creativity while raising critical questions about authenticity and the evolving role of artists in this new digital landscape.
