Abstract This research studies Islamic investment portfolios and Islamic investment funds. We have explained the concept of investment portfolios in general by defining them and explaining their provisions. The definition includes a definition and an explanation of their types and components. We have shown that the Islamic investment portfolio includes a group of permissible financial assets and does not include any financial assets that are not permissible according to Islamic law, whether their impermissibility is inherent, i.e., they are forbidden assets, or impermissible according to the method of financial transactions followed by them, which include dealing with usury and supporting investment in forbidden projects. We then explained that investment portfolios in general are divided into two types: the first is the traditional investment portfolio, which includes assets, some of which are not permissible according to Islamic law, in addition to the Islamic investment portfolio, whose components are limited to permissible assets. Then, in the second section, we explained the provisions of the Islamic investment portfolio in terms of its establishment, management, and termination. In the second section, we discussed Islamic investment funds, defining them and explaining their provisions. We defined Islamic investment funds and explained their types. We explained that investment funds differ from investment portfolios in that investment funds are established as a legal entity with a legal personality separate from the partners. Therefore, they have an independent financial status, and their establishment is subject to specific legal provisions and procedures. Islamic investment funds do not differ from Islamic investment portfolios in that each of them includes financial assets that are permissible according to Islamic law, and they may not include prohibited assets. We also explained that they are of three types: open, closed, and specialized. Then, in the second section, we explained the provisions of Islamic investment funds in terms of their establishment, management, and termination, as we explained the cases in which investment funds terminate.
