Abstract The Osirian Grain Mummy has religious, secular, and funereal significance. in ancient Egypt and is strongly associated with the worship of Osiris, the god of rebirth and fertility. These models which are typically crafted from clay, linen filled with grains such as wheat or barley which moistened with water to begin sprouting inside the tomb. The sprouting grains symbolized the cycle of death and regeneration, reflecting the belief that the deceased would be reborn in the afterlife. Archaeological discoveries from the Middle Kingdom through the Late Period reveal the widespread use of these grain mummies, underscoring the significant role of fertility and natural renewal in ancient Egyptian religious thought. Throughout the ages, Egyptians have inherited a few of rituals that embody the continuity of the connection between daily life and ancient religious beliefs. Egyptian civilization relied on rituals related to fertility and rebirth, such as the rituals of germinating grains in agricultural seasons and popular celebrations related to the cycles of nature. Some symbolic practices have remained, such as the rituals of germinating grains in the celebration of the newborn baby, and in the celebration of spring festivals or Sham El Nessim every year, and in the celebration of the harvest of agricultural crops in some current Egyptian villages. These inherited rituals reflect the ancient Egyptian view of the world as a continuous cycle of death, life, and renewal, which is why many of its traditions continue within modern social and popular customs.
