The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia: A Global Leader In Adopting Artificial Intelligence For A Sustainable Future

Abstract
The Kingdom of Saudi (KSA), has been a pioneer in leveraging AI technology to address economic, social and environmental challenges besides their quest towards being at forefront on innovation globally. As such, AI is recognized as a strategic enabler of sustainable growth for the nation and Saudi Vision 2030 among other key national initiatives have established, its development as one of their top priorities. This article examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in helping Saudi Arabia become sustainable, its AI policy, key applications across sectors and potential economic, social-ontological effects on economy, society and environment. It also looks at global collaborations, challenges and the broader implications of AI for how well positioned Saudi Arabia is to compete on a worldwide level.
