In the modern era, there has been a significant celebration of the scientific miracles in the Qur’an and Sunnah. However, despite the abundance of such material, there is a noticeable lack of studies concerned with establishing a sound methodological framework for inference. This research aims to fill that gap by shedding light on the correct methodology for using scientific miracles as evidence for prophethood, while avoiding the widespread exaggerations in this field. The study begins by addressing the artificial divide between religion and empirical science, then proceeds to clarify the correct stance on scientific interpretation of the Qur’an. It outlines the essential guidelines that must be observed when employing this type of evidence. Furthermore, it highlights the shortcomings of some studies that attempt to establish prophethood based solely on scientific miracles and explains the correct approach. This proper methodology is evident in two key areas: first, in affirming the truth of prophethood through positive evidence (i.e., the agreement of established scientific facts with the Qur’an and Sunnah) and negative evidence (i.e., the absence of any scientific fact that contradicts the Qur’an or Sunnah); and second, in bringing theological truths closer to understanding and refuting the doubts surrounding them. The study supports its findings with practical examples that illustrate the proper derivation of conclusions based on foundational principles.
