In this paper, we present the simulation of an accelerometer MEMS (vibration sensor) using a microcontroller dsPIC30F from simulation of a part electronic of the intelligent sensor (simulation of the block of conversion and processing). The signal processing is programmed with the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm to perform the frequency calculations. Once the knock calculation is completed by the dsPIC microcontroller, it transmits the data to the X-Bee wireless protocol, and the FFT spectrum is displayed on a Graphic Liquid Crystal Display (GLCD) and hence the possible frequency of interest on which knock occurs.
