This paper introduces an intelligent approach to fault diagnosis in horizontal wind turbines using an equivalent model designed by a neural network, focusing specifically on generator faults. The effectiveness of the model is demonstrated by analyzing generator faults and comparing the actual process output with the neural network's equivalent model, which is quantified by calculated residuals. A decision block is integrated to determine the severity and timing of the fault. The results obtained highlight the system's proficiency in fault identification, offering insights into its capability to detect and respond to faults within horizontal wind turbines, particularly emphasizing generator-related issues.
