From Method To The Foundation Of Metaphysics In Descartes

Abstract
In this research paper, we have discussed one of the philosophers of the modern era, indeed the father of modern philosophy, trying to determine the place of reason in his philosophy and understand his rational mathematical method, which, through its application to philosophy and nature, enabled him to arrive at certain truths that rise to the level of self-evident Ness due to the solidity of its certain premises and the rigor of the gradual method from premises to conclusions by way of intuition and deduction. This was a major impetus for philosophy to reproduce a clear and distinct heritage, and to establish a new metaphysics that emerged because of establishing this method.
