Abstract Mosaic art is one of the oldest forms of artistic expression, used by humans to convey their ideas in an elegant and lasting way. Christians, in particular, utilized mosaics to convey their Christian beliefs, relying on plant, geometric, or animal symbols. This was embodied in sacred Christian art after Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire. This research paper focuses on the sample from the Church Quarter in Setif during the 4th century AD. Most of the mosaic panels discovered in the area, particularly the funerary mosaics found in churches A and B, are examined and analyzed to identify various cultural aspects, including religious, artistic, and economic elements.
