Herbal Healing Through Literary History -an Interdisciplinary Analysis

Abstract
The research examines the intersection of traditional herbal medicine and its representation in literary works across cultures and time periods. The study explores how medicinal plants have been documented and portrayed in both scientific texts and creative literature, analyzing their dual role in healing practices and cultural narratives. This paper investigates the evolution of herbal medicine knowledge and its transmission through written word, examining how cultural beliefs, scientific understanding, and artistic expression have shaped our perception of herbal remedies. The research methodology combines literary analysis with medical anthropology approaches, examining primary sources from various cultural traditions alongside modern scientific literature. This interdisciplinary approach reveals patterns in how herbal knowledge has been preserved, transformed, and transmitted across generations through both scientific and literary texts.
