ملخص: في هذا البحث تم مناقشة هوى السلطة / الحكم في السيرة الشعبية سيف بن ذي يزن الحميري، وهو من الأهواء الانتعاضية، ففيه تم البحث عن مصادر "الانفعال" في هوى السلطة في خطاب السيرة، فالبحث يهدف إلى كشف طبيعة الأهواء التي تتحكم في السيرة سيف ذي يزن، و مآلاتها، والنسق الهووي فيها، وإلى تبيين الكتلة الانفعالية لهوى السلطة وعلاقة ذلك بالثقافة. فقد تبين أن هوى السلطة في بحثنا له بعد بلاغي في خطاب الثقافة قائم على "الاستعارة"، وأن هوى السلطة قام على ثلاثة أحاسيس أولية هي: إحساس عرقي، وإحساس ديني، وإحساس سياسي. Abstract: in this research the passion for authority/rule was discussed in the popular biography of Saif bin Dhi Yazan Al-Himyari، which is one of the reactive passions. In it، the sources of “emotion” in the passion for authority in the discourse of biography were searched for. The research aims to reveal the nature of the passions that control the biography of Saif Dhi Yazan، its consequences، the identity system in it، and to clarify the emotional mass of the passion for authority and its relationship to culture. It has become clear in our research that the desire for authority has a rhetorical dimension in the discourse of culture based on “metaphor،” and that the desire for authority is based on three primary feelings: an ethnic feeling، a religious feeling، and a political feeling
