This paper presents the implementation of Direct Torque Control (DTC) for an asynchronous machine powered through a rectifier placed at the output of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM), following a voltage regulation loop. The study focuses on controlling the output voltage of a wind energy conversion system based on a PMSM, utilizing a Proportional-Integral (PI) controller integrated into the system. A comprehensive mathematical model is developed to simulate the entire system using MATLAB software. Simulation results with closed-loop regulation demonstrate that this control technique significantly enhances power quality and proves to be highly effective for this type of application.
