The Ability Of Economic Reforms To Improve Albania's Chances Of Joining The European Union By 2027

Abstract
This study addresses the effect of economic reforms in Albania on the probability of its accession to the European Union by 2027. It reviewed progress in areas such as improving the business environment, combating corruption, strengthening the judiciary, and ensuring financial stability while highlighting ongoing challenges such as the informal economy and youth unemployment. The study concluded that commitment to implementing structural reforms and enhancing good governance will improve Albania's chances of joining the union by the targeted date. The study proposed strategic recommendations to strengthen Albania's negotiating position and support its chances of achieving EU membership, including expediting the legislation to grant Albanian citizenship to foreign investors, developing a medical tourism program, and other recommendations.
