The Cultural Heritage Of Biskra Province As A Strategic Leverage For Activating Sustainable Agricultural Tourism

Abstract

This essay explores how agricultural tourism (agrotourism) can serve as a strategic mechanism for preserving the cultural heritage of Biskra Province, Algeria. Biskra is rich in historical, aesthetic, and natural assets, making it an ideal location for sustainable tourism development. The study compares international agrotourism models, highlighting challenges faced by Algeria in adopting similar strategies. By analyzing existing literature and case studies from Europe and North Africa, this paper provides recommendations for policy improvements, infrastructure development, and community engagement in agrotourism initiatives. The findings emphasize the role of agrotourism in economic diversification, job creation, and cultural sustainability
