Authors : Mr Muhannad Omar Youssef Shawar . Dr. Ali Hussein .

Abstract

This study investigated knowledge management in Palestinian ministries, focusing on knowledge generation, dissemination, storage, retrieval, application, and monitoring. A descriptive methodology was used, targeting 1,961 administrative employees, with a sample of 322 participants. Results showed a moderate application of knowledge management dimensions, with monitoring ranked highest (mean: 3.5725) and generation lowest (mean: 3.2826). Overall, knowledge management received moderate attention (mean: 3.4347). No significant differences were observed based on gender or job level, but differences emerged concerning age and experience. Recommendations included training to enhance knowledge generation, reducing bureaucracy, establishing specialized departments for knowledge assessment, and targeted training for older employees. Further studies on barriers to knowledge management were suggested. Keywords: Knowledge, Knowledge Management, Palestinian Ministries
