Abstract
Abstract : The housing sector in Algeria is one of the most important sectors, as it is the locomotive that pulls other sectors such as the industrial sector, the construction sector, the services sector, the employment sector, etc., and therefore occupies a significant place in the comprehensive national development strategy, whether at the social or economic level. The reform of the housing subsidy policy in Algeria aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of this policy in the implementation of housing programmes while promoting the values of transparency and social justice in the distribution of this support, by providing a variety of housing options and forms to meet the greatest number of needs of different sectors and strata of society. This study aims to evaluate the housing subsidy policy in Algeria, and to identify the most important reforms that have affected it, through a field study of a sample represented by the Housing Directorate in Tlemcen.
