Neoconservatism is a political and intellectual movement that emerged in the United States during the 1960s and 1970s، gaining significant influence over American foreign policy، particularly after the collapse of the Soviet Union and in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. Neoconservatives advocate for the promotion of democracy and American values globally، support military intervention to achieve strategic goals، and emphasize the United States' role as a global leader. They played a key role in shaping policies such as the 2003 Iraq War and the Bush Doctrine، which endorsed preemptive military action. However، their influence has waned due to criticism over the high human and financial costs of their policies and their perceived failures in achieving long-term objectives.
