The aim of this study is to highlight the role of financial technology in supporting and developing the Islamic finance industry by presenting the Malaysian experience. It was concluded that financial technology offers opportunities and prospects for the Islamic finance industry that could enhance the competitiveness of its institutions and increase their effectiveness and efficiency. This is demonstrated by the Malaysian experience, which has become one of the leading countries in the field of Islamic financial technology due to the Malaysian government's adoption and promotion of the Islamic finance industry through legislation, laws, and the development of infrastructure. It also involves activating the role of regulatory and Shariah bodies, supporting the establishment of fintech companies, and implementing the latest technologies, such as crowdfunding platforms, which are considered one of the most prominent technological innovations in Malaysia. These platforms open new opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to obtain financing in a more suitable manner, manage their funds, and carry out transactions easily. It also provides direct access to the public online to raise funds, enhance efficiency, and improve access to financial services.
