Abstract
Imam Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Senussi is one of the most important notables and scholars of Tlemcen in the ninth century AH 15 AD, as he grew up in an environment characterized by political and social unrest at the time in the metropolis of Tlemcen in western Algeria. Imam al-Senussi worked to spread Sufism and monotheism there and to fight all false manifestations and behaviours that have nothing to do with true Sufism, and contributed to the spread of Sunni mysticism and the science of monotheism, evidenced by his many works on the science of monotheism. The main objective of this research is to identify the personality of Imam al-Senussi and highlight his role, like other Sufi sheikhs of his time, in spreading true Sufism and fighting false Sufism, helped by his numerous writings on Tawhid and Sufism and his wise opinions on many jurisprudential issues..
