This study aims to explore the significance of transitioning towards green hospitals as a means of achieving sustainability, through the implementation of green practices such as resource consumption optimization, waste management enhancement, the adoption of renewable energy, among others. These initiatives empower hospitals to mitigate their negative environmental impacts while reaping health and economic benefits. The study employs a descriptive-analytical methodology, focusing on the experience of The Bristol Royal Infirmary as a model for the application of these initiatives. Additionally, the challenges that hospitals may encounter in executing these transformations are identified, along with recommendations to encourage the further adoption of green practices within healthcare institutions.
