Builders and artists in various parts of the world throughout various historical eras have always relied on the use of marble or stone capitals that top columns of different shapes for two purposes: functional to bear the weight of the roof, and another aesthetic, and each historical period has been characterized by a special style or style in the manufacture and decoration of capitals. Including the Ottoman era, which was known for the use of many innovative types of crowns. The artists also worked to bring capitals from ancient buildings and reuse them, and this is clearly evident in one of the capitals of the columns of the Ottoman Green Mosque in the city of Constantine, which carries a history older than the date of the construction of the mosque. Through this research paper, we will try to shed light on this stone capital, and try to find out its content. The inscription on it to what historical period its creation dates back, and how it was used in building the Green Mosque, which dates back to the Ottoman era.
