Energy Efficiency In Industry: The Impact Of The Energy Performance Of Equipment On The Profitability Of An Energy-intensive Company

Abstract
The industrial sector, a strong link in the Algerian economy, is subject to audit and control measures for energy-intensive industrial equipment. Measuring the energy performance of equipment is therefore essential to be able to identify sources of inefficiency. Through our study, we attempted to evaluate the impact of technology on energy consumption, through an econometric and financial study. The results of our study highlighted a significant impact of technological progress in equipment on the reduction of consumption and the increase in production. This ensures long-term profitability for industries.
