Abstract: This study aims to verify the feasibility of the democratic transition that accompanied the wave of protests witnessed in Tunisia at the beginning of 2011, which resulted in a series of reforms aimed at overcoming the public anger stemming from the deterioration of living standards on various fronts. Our study will address the Tunisian experience as a distinguished Arab model, highlighting several specific characteristics that will be revealed through the study, stemming from the intensity of social and political tensions and the accumulations that formed a turning point in rejecting the reality that led to the ousting of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, along with the aspiration for change towards a better future, culminating in the election of President Kais Saied. This includes his return to consolidating the role of the presidency under the 2022 Constitution, which abolished the 2014 Constitution, and his candidacy for a new electoral term in 2024. We will review the aspects of the democratic experience's setbacks in light of his policies, and through this study, we aspire to open the field for political practice in fulfillment of the reforms demanded by the revolution to chart a better future for democracy in Tunisia.
