ABSTRACT Acne is an inflammatory infection caused by bacterial colonization of hair follicles on the face, neck, chest and back. To treat this disease, there are usually two most well-known treatments, either by topical treatment, or by systemic treatment when acne is difficult to treat with topical medications. In this context, this work aims to characterize another solution that is less hazardous to the skin, health and more effective, this alternative is presented as a patch based on the ethanol extracts of two therapeutic plants (Nigella sativa, Syzygium aromaticum) as well as the chitosan that serves as a polymer of the patch and the gelatin is the essential matrix for the release of the extracts. The result showed that this patch has a strong inhibitory effectiveness against three bacterial strains tested (E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus).
