Abstract

The river ganga plays vital role in GDP of India. Out of various water quality parameters three major water quality parameters are selected for analysis. DO, BOD and pH. Three locations in three basin of river ganga is selected as Rishikesh, Assi Ghat and Diamond Harbour. Fuzzy interface system in MATLAB is used for analysis. Fuzzification rules are based on real observed data and water quality standard. Different rules are designed of all three water quality parameters. After defuzzification model is capable to identify water quality index. Fuzzification and defuzzification will result intelligent system capable for classification of water and its application. Proposed model is trained with real time data at different locations and result correct estimation of water quality of river ganga.
