•Call for papers for Volume 05, Issue 01/2026 (Issue in progress)
The Urban Fabric Review is issuing a call for papers for a thematic issue on "The Urban Environment: Dynamics, Challenges, and Sustainability Perspectives."
This special issue of the journal "Fabriques Urbaines" aims to examine the different dimensions of the urban environment, focusing on current issues related to quality of life, sustainability, and resource management in urban spaces, as well as those related to pollution, climate change, and energy consumption. It aims to stimulate interdisciplinary approaches capable of shedding light on contemporary urban dynamics and sustainable planning strategies.
Contributions may focus on the following themes: (non-exhaustive list)
• Governance and management of the urban environment
• Urban pollution (air, water, noise) and health impacts
• Green spaces and biodiversity in cities
• Urban mobility and sustainable transport systems
• Waste management and transition to a circular economy
• Cities' adaptation to climate change
• Urban resilience and sustainable development
• Territorial planning and urban planning
• ..etc

La Revue Fabriques urbaines lance un appel à texte pour un numéro thématique portant sur
« l’Environnement urbain: dynamiques, enjeux et perspectives de durabilité»
Ce numéro spécial de la revue «Fabrique Urbaine» se propose d’examiner les différentes dimensions de l’environnement urbain en mettant l’accent sur les enjeux actuels liés: à la qualité de vie, à la durabilité et à la gestion des ressources dans les espaces urbains, mais également ceux liés à la pollution, aux changements climatiques et à la consommation énergétique. Il ambitionne de stimuler des approches interdisciplinaires susceptibles d’éclairer les dynamiques urbaines contemporaines et les stratégies d’aménagement durable.
Les contributions peuvent porter sur les thématiques suivantes : (liste non exhaustive)
