This study aimed to estimate the expected economic value of investing in data infrastructure and Digital Public Infrastructure and its impact on improving the living standards and socioeconomic well-being of households in post-war Sudan. The study adopted a quantitative descriptive-analytical approach, where data were collected through a targeted questionnaire covering 44 household heads and beneficiaries and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics through multiple linear regression models, internal consistency and reliability tests, and correlation matrices. The statistical results demonstrated high goodness-of-fit for the model, as the combined digital infrastructure bundle explained 57.9% (R2 = 0.579, F = 13.431, p < 0.001) of the variance in household welfare levels. Furthermore, standardized regression coefficients revealed that digital government and social platforms/services were the essential and statistically decisive determinant in enhancing livelihoods and food security (ß = 0.644, p < 0.001), whereas the dimensions of digital access, digital identity, and digital payments served as enabling, intermediate prerequisites that channel their developmental impact through these platforms. The study recommended the necessity of redirecting donor funding and policymaker priorities toward the software application layer, developing unified social registries and cash transfer platforms, alongside subsidizing digital access costs and securing data protection for vulnerable and internally displaced populations.
