This study highlights the value of the Sunnah according to al-Salimi (d. 1332 AH). It elucidates his methodology in inferring and deriving practical jurisprudential rulings. It explores his conceptualization and categorization of the Sunnah, and its application in deduction and inference. The research adopts a descriptive approach to clarify Salimi’s concept and divisions of the Sunnah, an inductive approach to trace the relevant details in his works, "Ṭalʿat al-Shams" and "Maʿārij al-Āmāl", and an analytical approach for his methodology of inference from the Sunnah. The study concludes with his classification of the "Mash’hur ḥadith" versus the "Aḥad ḥadith", and the conditions for accepting aḥad hadiths beyond the authenticity of the narrators’ chain (Sanad), to ensure it does not contradict the Quran, and their own narration. He also accepted the interpretation of hadiths and the additions made by reliable narrators who are attentive during the transmission of that hadith
