يسعى هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن الافاق التي يمكن أن يفتحها المنهج الذي وظفه محمد عابد الجابري في قراءته للتراث الفلسفي الإسلامي، فالمنهج الموظف عند الجابري ليس منهجا مغلقا بقدر ما يفتح للباحثين الجادين أفاق جديدة في البحث والتنقيب. وخاصة أن حضور الماضي في الحاضر في العالم العربي يشكل حضورا طاغيا، بل يمكن أنّ الماضي أصبح هو الذي يوجه الحاضر. وقد اعتمد الجابري، في مشروعه النقدي، على منهج يقوم على التحليل الإبستمولوجي والتفكيك التاريخي لبنيات الفكر العربي الإسلامي، مميزًا بين تيارين أساسيين: تيار عرفاني/باطني أسهم في تكريس اللامعقول، وتيار برهاني/عقلاني مثّل النزعة العقلانية القابلة للاستئناف الحضاري. ومن هنا تبرز أهمية مشروعه في البحث عن العناصر العقلانية والتقدمية داخل التراث، بما يسمح ببناء نهضة معاصرة قائمة على النقد والعقلانية والموضوعية، بعيدًا عن التوظيف الأيديولوجي والعاطفي للتراث. This research seeks to explore the horizons that the methodology employed by Mohammed Abed Al-Jabri in his reading of the Islamic philosophical heritage can open up. The method adopted by Al-Jabri is not a closed one; rather, it opens new avenues of inquiry and investigation for serious researchers, especially given that the presence of the past in the present Arab world has become overwhelming, to the extent that the past itself now seems to direct the present. In his critical project, Al-Jabri relied on a method grounded in epistemological analysis and the historical deconstruction of the structures of Arab-Islamic thought. He distinguished between two major currents: a gnostic/esoteric tendency that contributed to the perpetuation of irrationalism, and a demonstrative/rational tendency that represented a rationalist orientation capable of supporting civilizational renewal. Hence, the significance of his project lies in its attempt to uncover the rational and progressive dimensions within heritage, thereby enabling the construction of a contemporary renaissance founded on criticism, rationality, and objectivity, far removed from the emotional and ideological exploitation of heritage.
