Résumé

تعالج هذه الورقة البحثية بعض القضايا السياسية التي تناولتها جريدة المغرب العربي الصادرة في وهران عام 1937. فالجريدة ذات الخط الوطني الإصلاحي أزعجت الإدارة الاستعمارية بطرحها ونقدها الصريح للسياسة الاستعمارية ودفاعها عن الشعب الجزائري ومقوماته الشخصية، الأمر الذي دفع هذه الأخيرة إلى وضع العراقيل أمام هذه الجريدة الفتية، ومنه الإسراع في تعطيلها ووقف إصدارها بعد مدة قصيرة لم تعمر فيها أكثر من شهر، حيث توقفت عن الصدور بعد العدد الرابع، ما يؤكد تخوف الإدارة الاستعمارية من استمرار هذه الجريدة وانتشارها في الأوساط الشعبية إضافة إلى النقد الذي وجهته لحكومة الجبهة الشعبية التي كانت الحركة الوطنية تعلق عليها الآمال في منح الجزائريين حقوقهم. وهو ما حفزنا على دراسة وإبراز أهم القضايا والمواضيع السياسية التي تناولتها الجريدة في أعدادها القليلة ومدة صدورها القصيرة This study examines the main political issues addressed by the Oran-based newspaper al-Maghreb al-Arabi in 1937. With a reformist-nationalist approach, the journal challenged colonial authorities by directly criticizing imperial policies and defending Algerian political identity and cultural distinctiveness. In reaction, the colonial administration imposed restrictions that quickly led to the newspaper’s suppression after only four issues, reflecting concerns over its potential to influence and spread political discourse among the public. The research also explores the newspaper’s critical view of the Popular Front government, which, despite raising hopes within the National Movement for securing Algerian rights, failed to deliver promised concessions and maintained political control and press censorship. This paper aims to highlight the key political themes al-Maghreb al-Arabi addressed during its brief but politically important publication period.
