Abstract: The present study aimed to investigate the nature of the relationship between digital security awareness and mental health among a sample of 90 university students from the University of Tiaret who use social media platforms. To achieve the study's objectives, two scales developed by the researcher were employed: the first scale measured digital security awareness and consisted of 10 items, while the second scale assessed mental health and comprised 14 items. The psychometric properties of these scales were verified during the practical phase of the study, and the descriptive approach was utilized to analyze the results. The study yielded the following findings: The level of digital security awareness among the study sample was moderate. The level of mental health among the study sample was also moderate. No statistically significant differences were found in digital security awareness attributable to gender or age variables.
