This study analyzes the structural and semantic differences between media language produced by news robots and that formulated by journalists within media institutions. It explores how these differences affect the communicative and functional aspects of media discourse. Using a comparative descriptive-analytical approach, the study combines both quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The sample consists of 100 media texts (50 automated and 50 human-generated) from Al Jazeera Arabic Channel, covering the period from January 2023 to December 2023. The analysis focuses on the linguistic, structural, stylistic, and semiotic features distinguishing each discourse type, while also evaluating the adherence of automated texts to professional standards such as accuracy, neutrality, and editorial coherence. The findings reveal significant differences in favor of human discourse, particularly in terms of communicative coherence, rhetorical richness, and professional adherence. Automated discourse, however, exhibits limitations in stylistic and semantic diversity, highlighting the structural and epistemological challenges of using AI in media.
