This study aims to identify the most common perceived parenting styles among high school adolescents and to examine differences in these styles according to parental image (father/mother) and adolescent gender. A descriptive-analytical approach was adopted, and the EMBU Scale of perceived parenting styles (Perris et al., 1980) was administered to a sample of 60 male and female high school students from a secondary school in Algiers. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22. The findings revealed that positive and healthy parenting styles were the most prevalent among the participants. Significant gender-based differences were found in adolescents’ perceptions of both maternal and paternal parenting styles, whereas no statistically significant differences were found between the perceived parenting styles of fathers and mothers overall.
