The Originality Of Muslim Research Method أصالة مناهج البحث العلمي عند المسلمين

Résumé

This study explores the extent to which Islamic civilization contributed to the foundation and advancement of scientific research methodologies. Adopting both inductive and documentary approaches, the researcher examines the conceptual framework, significance, and status of scientific methodologies in general, as well as their particular standing within the intellectual tradition of early Muslim scholars. The analysis demonstrates that Islamic civilization was at the forefront of establishing the experimental method, formulating its principles and stages, and applying it across diverse scientific domains—particularly in medicine, pharmacy, and chemistry—where it yielded outstanding results. Moreover, Muslims were pioneers in developing both the historical and descriptive methods as tools of rigorous inquiry. The study further reveals that Muslim scholars made substantial contributions to the refinement and evolution of several methodologies inherited from earlier civilizations, especially in relation to deductive, inferential, and dialectical reasoning. Their efforts laid the groundwork for a coherent and original framework of scientific investigation that profoundly influenced subsequent intellectual traditions. يعالج هذا المقال إشكالية ما مدى إسهام الحضارة الإسلامية في تأسيس وتطوير مناهج البحث العلمي، حيث استخدم الباحث المنهج الاستقرائي والتوثيقي في دراسة هذا الموضوع، وقد تطرّق إلى مفهوم المناهج العلمية وأهميتها ومكانتها عموما؛ وكذا مكانتها عند المسلمين قديما. ومن خلال تعريف مناهج البحث العامة وبيان خطواتها؛ اتّضح أن الحضارة الإسلامية قد حازت قصب السبق في تأسيس المنهج التجريبي ووضع مراحله وقواعده، واستخدامه في مختلف العلوم الطبية والصيدلية والكيميائية وحققت به نتائج باهرة. وكان لها السبق كذلك في تأسيس كلّ من المنهج التاريخي والمنهج الوصفي. كما تبيّن أيضا أنّ علماء المسلمين ساهموا بشكل كبير في تطوير بعض المناهج العلمية التي ورثوها عن الحضارات السابقة، خاصة فيما يتعلّق بمنهج الاستدلال والاستنباط وكذا المنهج الجدلي.
