Résumé

The current study aimed to identify the manifestations and factors of language delay in children, using a case study approach. The study sample consisted of two children studying in the primary stage, on which they applied the intelligence scale for drawing a man by Goodnough, the form for detecting linguistically delayed children, and a semi-guided interview, the result of the study was found that The two cases suffer from mild language delay, the manifestations of which include the child's inability to express himself, lack of understanding of instructions, poor linguistic repertoire, the two cases appeared to have an above-average level of intelligence, and the factors for the appearance of language delay in the two cases include the lack of verbal communication between parents and the child, the poor linguistic environment, misuse of television time, and lack of communication with peers.
