Penal Protection In Cyber Crimes Under Algerian Law

Résumé

In the current era, a revolution has occurred in the field of information technology, leading to the increased use of information systems and heavy reliance on them in managing societal affairs. Showcasing the most prominent aspects of modern technology, resulting in the emergence of what is known as cybercrimes. Various terms have been used to describe these criminal phenomena; some refer to them as information fraud, As a result of this ongoing development and in response to these crimes, which are considered a new form of crime and where criminals exploit speed and functional performance, protective legislations have been enacted that combine preventive measures through the establishment of monitoring systems, in addition to enacting punitive laws such as civil liability laws and criminal liability laws. In this context, the legal nature of these crimes was determined, and criminal protection was derived from the perspective of the Algerian Penal Code
