Résumé

The present study aimed to identify the level of learned helplessness among students who failed the baccalaureate examination, as well as to highlight differences in the level of helplessness based on the students' gender and the number of times they had failed. To achieve this objective, the descriptive-analytical method was used, along with a questionnaire consisting of 26 items distributed across 3 dimensions. The questionnaire was administered to a purposive sample of 76 male and female students in the city of Ouargla. After analyzing the data, the results revealed a moderate level of learned helplessness among students who failed the baccalaureate exam. The findings also showed significant differences in helplessness levels based on gender, while no statistically significant differences were found related to the number of times the exam had been failed.
