Résumé

The research topic is a stylistic analysis of the collection “The Glow of Sunset” by the poet Mikhail Naimy. Mikhail Naimy is considered one of the most prominent writers and expatriate poets of the twentieth century. This Lebanese poet and writer was born in Mount Sannin in 1889. He joined the Palestinian Association School in Bskainta and then continued his university studies in Ukraine for about five years. After that, he immigrated to the United States to continue his studies, where he lived for more than twenty years and managed to obtain American citizenship. He was also part of the Pen League, which was founded by Kahlil Gibran in New York in 1920, and served as a deputy member alongside Gibran. This collection was chosen because it represents the fruit of the poet's literary creativity in the later stages of his life, when he returned to his original home in Lebanon after a period of estrangement. This collection was chosen because it represents the fruit of the poet's literary creativity during the later stages of his life, when he returned to his homeland in Lebanon after a period of exile. In these works, the poet presented his philosophical visions on various issues related to nature, the creation of man, and other topics. The goal of this study is to shed light on the poet, especially this collection that he wrote at the height of his artistic output during his experiences both in his homeland and abroad, when he lived a period of alienation and deprivation. Given the scarcity of studies on this remarkable poetic collection, we wanted to focus on it to highlight the depth of poetic meanings and their significance among the works of Mikhail Naimy, from both phonetic and morphological perspectives.
