Abstract: The rise of artificial intelligence raises complex questions regarding criminal liability. A clear example is self-driving cars, where determining legal responsibility in incidents like reckless driving or hit-and-run becomes challenging. Should liability fall on the manufacturer, the passenger behind the wheel, or the AI system itself? While these questions may seem futuristic, they are becoming increasingly relevant and may soon be tested in court. Understanding how criminal law principles apply to such scenarios is essential. This analysis seeks to explore how traditional legal frameworks can adapt to new AI-driven realities and offer pathways for addressing accountability in the age of autonomous technologies
