The Impact Of Food Security On Economic Growth In The Arab World

This study investigates the impact of food security on economic growth in the Arab World during the period 2010- 2020, and annual data is used. To achieve this, descriptive analysis and econometric analysis are relied upon, and panel data are used in the analysis. The study sample consists of ten Arab countries. The variables in the study model included food Security, capital, and labor force as independent variables, and economic growth is the dependent variable. The study finds that there is a statistically significant positive impact of food security on economic growth at a 10% significance level. And a statistically significant positive impact of both capital and labor on economic growth at a 1% significance level. هدفت هذه الدراسة الى البحث في اثر الأمن الغذائي على النمو الاقتصادي في الوطن العربي خلال الفترة الزمنية 2010-2020 وتم استخدام بيانات سنوية. ولتحقيق ذلك تم الاعتماد على التحليل الوصفي والتحليل القياسي و تم استخدام بيانات اللوحة في التحليل، وكانت عينة الدراسة مكونة من عشرة دول من الوطن العربي خلال فترة الدراسة. وتكونت متغيرات نموذج الدراسة من الأمن الغذائي، ورأس المال، والعمالة كمتغيرات مستقلة بينما النمو الاقتصادي فهو المتغير التابع. وبينت الدراسة أن هنالك اثر إيجابياً مقبولاً احصائياً للأمن الغذائي على النمو الاقتصادي عند مستوى معنوية 10%، وان هنالك اثر إيجابياً مقبولاً احصائياً لكل من راس المال والعمالة على النمو الاقتصادي عند مستوى معنوية 1%.
