Jews and Palestinians are both Semitic peoples. There is no evident reason for their perennial strife. The state of Israel is today strong, but Israel should heed the saying of the Old Testament (Jeremy 9): Let the strong man not boast of his strength. And the Palestinians should remember the Koran saying. “The punishment for evil is evil in equal measure, but the reward of the one who forgives and reconciles rests with Allah.” (Shura: 40)
