ملخص: يتجاوز المكان الحدود الجغرافية في الرواية، ليرسم أبعادا نفسية واجتماعية تكشف عن ملامح شخصيات العمل. المكان ذلك الحيّز الذي تتفاعل فيه الأنا مع محيطها. يزداد تعقيدا بوصفه من تشكيل اللغة، التي تمنحه دلالات مختلفة. فالمدينة ذلك الفضاء المفتوح جغرافيا، يظل منغلقا إنسانيا بسبب العلاقات الإنسانية المهدرة داخله. يبحث هذا العمل عن صورة المدينة في فكر الكاتب والروائي "محمود قنديل"، من خلال بحث موسوم: »ملامح المكان في رواية "أجواء المدينة" لمحمود قنديل«،بغية الوقوف عند معاناة الذّات، ودور الآخر في تحطيم أحلامها داخل هذا الحيز المكاني الذي شكل صورة مصغرة لأفق أوسع تمتد حدوده لتشمل الوطن. Abstract: The place goes beyond geographical boundaries in the novel, to draw psychological and social dimensions that reveal the features of the characters in the work. Place is the space in which the ego interacts with its surroundings. It becomes more complex as a formation of language, which gives it different connotations. The city is that geographically open space that remains closed humanly because of the wasted human relationships within it This work examines the image of the city in the thought of the writer and novelist Mahmoud Qandil, through research titled: “Features of the place in the novel “The Atmosphere of the City” by Mahmoud Qandil. In order to consider the suffering of the self, and the role of the other in destroying her dreams within this spatial space, which formed a microcosm of a broader horizon whose borders extend to include the homeland Keywords: The place, the city and the revolution, the novel, the atmosphere of the city, Mahmoud Qandil.
