ملخص البحث: يسعى هذا البحث بمنهج نصيّ تحليليّ إلى الوقوف عند مصطلح (الاتّساع) للبحث في مفهومه، وإجراءاته عند الناقد البلاغي عبد القاهر الجرجاني(471هـ) في كتابيه:(أسرار البلاغة) و(دلائل الإعجاز)، وهدفه تحليل مظاهر الاتّساع التي أولاها الناقد أهميّة واضحة، مشفوعة بتطبيقاته الخاصّة، وقد دلّت الوقائعُ أن مصطلح (الاتّساع) كان شغل اللغويين، والبلاغيين، والنقاد منذ قرون سلفت، وأنّه لمّا يزل مصدر بحث، وجذب، وحراك عند المعاصرين؛ بسبب ارتباطه باللغة، وخروج متونها إلى العدول، والانزياح عن سياقات الأصل، فهو من المظاهر البلاغيّة التي أسهمت في تحديث اللغة، وتجديد خطاباتها بما يعطي فكرة عن خطورته، وأهميّة البحث فيه. إنّ مقاربة الاتّساع، و تحديد مفهومه، ومن ثمّ تحليل مظاهره البلاغيّة، والوقوف عند اجراءاته عند عبد القاهر الجرجاني يقتضي العلم أولا بحضور مصطلحه في (دلائل الإعجاز (مقترنا بمصطلح (معنى المعنى)، وفي أسرار البلاغة كان الاقتران من خلال مصطلح (التخييل(، والله الموفّق. الكلمات المفتاحية: عبد القاهر الجرجاني، الاستعارة، المجاز، الكناية، التمثيل . Abstract: This research seeks, with an analytical textual approach, to stand at the term (rhetoricalmeaning) to discuss the concept and its procedures for the rhetorical critic Abd al-Qaher al-Jurjani (471 AH) in his two books: (Asrar al-Balaghah) and (Evidence of Miracles). The aim is to analyze the manifestations of the metaphoric meaning that the critic gave clear importance. Accompanied by its special applications, the facts have shown that the term (rhetorical manifestations) has been the preoccupation of linguists, rhetoricians, and critics for centuries, and that it is still a source of research, attraction, and more studies for contemporaries because of its association with the language, and the depth meaning of the texts into abandonment, and the move from the original contexts. It is one of the rhetorical manifestations that contributed to the modernization of the language, and the renewal of its discourses in a way that gives an idea of ​​its seriousness and the importance of researching it, the approach to expansion, and defining its concept. The approach to define its concept, and then analyize its rhetorical manifestations, and discussing its procedures according to Abd al-Qaher al-Jurjani. Moreover, the requires knowledge first of the presence of its term in the evidence of miracles (associated with the term meaning of meaning), and in the implicit rhetoric, the association was through the term (imagining), which related to the recipient.
