Résumé

تقع جمهورية اتحاد ميانمار في جنوب شرق آسيا، وكانت خاضعة تحت الاحتلال البريطاني والياباني، إلا أنها استقلت عن بريطانيا عام 1948، وبسب التنافس على السلطة بين القوى السياسية منذ ذلك التاريخ كان للمؤسسة العسكرية لها رأي آخر، إذ خضعت تحت حكم الاخيرة إلى وقتنا الحاصر، الأمر الذي أدى إلى عدم الاستقرار السياسي، وأنعكس ذلك على الواقع الاجتماعي والاقتصادي، إذ تعد ميانمار بلد متعدد العرقيات والأديان، كما تتميز بالتنوع الثقافي، وتتسيطر عرقية (البورمان) على مفاصل الحكم في الدولة، كما تطبق ميانمار النظام الاشتراكي وهي من أفقر الدول في جنوب شرق آسيا، إذ يعتمد اقتصادها على الزراعة بشكل كبير، وهي غني في الموارد المعدنية وعلى وجه التحديد الغاز الطبيعي. East Asia, as its economy depends heavily on agriculture, and it is rich in mineral resources, specifically natural gas.
